Ex. 1. – Dementia Ebook

This ebook was created for my Writing and Digital Media class in 2023 as a help guide for anyone experiencing the urgent need to care for anyone suffering from Dementia. It was created with the intent to be used as a quick-start resource that would be easy to follow for anyone with no prior experience or information, who landed in an emergency situation and had to care for someone with Dementia. I included simple lists, graphics, and resources and sent this ebook to several Dementia care support groups so they could provide it free of charge to anyone who needed it. This ebook shows that I have a good command of design that is readable and easily digestible, as well as how to structure documents for end users who may have no prior knowledge.

Ex. 2. System Admin Methods Guide

I created this MOP in July 2024 for my full-time position as a Senior Engineer at my career at Cox Media. This guide was meant to be used as a troubleshooting guide for a very specific problem we were having on our team for missing client ID’s in one of our processes. I compiled this doc using a template I have used several other times and saved it on a shared drive for easy editing. This MOP shows my skill with technical documentation and explanation and my ability to succinctly organize a story for end users. It is also a great example of my ability to make a document readable and professional.

Ex. 3. Service Now User Guide

I created this Two Sheeter last week at my job as a Senior Engineer for Cox Media. I created this simple document with Word and took screenshots of the process to be used for the end users. This was created with the intention of giving a quick visual how-to guide for end users of our Audience IQ platform who need help with ticketing issues in the Service Now helpdesk platform. Our team is transitioning the help that these users were receiving by email to being handled solely by our Service Now ticketing system, so it was imperative that the users get a simple step by step process guide. Since I had to create this document on the fly with literally a one hour notice, I think this document shows my versatility and adaptability with quick 2-sheet guides and my ability to “think like an end user” with how they might use a process document for technical documentation.
